2017 Honda Accord - Left Front
What’s Wrong:
This 2017 Honda Accord was received as an insurance job through our customer. The damage was severe, destroying the headlight and even the subframe. Originally, the insurance company told our customer it was a total loss and that nothing could be done. However, our customer wanted to keep the car, so we stepped in on their behalf to negotiate with the insurance company. Eventually, we settled on using aftermarket parts that were CAPA-certified to replace the broken and damaged parts.
If you are interested in CAPA-certified parts, please read more about their certification standards on their website.
The Fix:
Upon receiving the vehicle, there was tons of damage to fix throughout the driver's side of the car and the subframe. Several parts were beyond repair, so we replaced them, including the hood (creased), front bumper (torn), headlight, and front fender. As for the driver-side door and quarter panel that were scratched, we repaired the scratches and repainted the pieces to look brand-new. The damage to the subframe was one of the hardest parts to fix. We used our frame machine to pull out as much damage as we could and replaced the sections/parts. Then we remeasured the subframe after replacing it to make sure that everything was still within the original manufacturer’s specifications.
